All cheerleaders must register in advance by May 1 and attend cheer fitting in May. Exact date TBD. After this date, we cannot guarantee a uniform for your daughter!!

The Manhattan Patriots Cheerleading Program
The Patriots Cheer program is open to all girls in 1st through 8th grade and is designed to provide a positive learning environment that focuses on having fun, building self-esteem, and teaching valuable cheerleading, dance, and teamwork skills. We offer a special intro to cheer program for Kindergartners.
No previous cheerleading, tumbling, dance, or poms experience is required. Our program offers a range of activities from cheering/performing at football games to Competition(s) for all of the girls.
Girls are most likely placed in their division according to the school year they will be entering in the fall. Depending on final registration numbers, adjustments may need to be made to the levels. Parents will be notified by email if level adjustments will need to be made
Cheer Divisions (based on grade entering in August 2019):
Kindergarten - Intro Cheer
Participation in Cheer Competition is required for Varsity. Strongly encouraged for JV and not required for SLW and LW. For 2019 - girls will be placed onto levels after April 1st Placement will not necessarily on based on their grade, but by their interest in participating in competition or not. We will do our best to accommodate all requests to be on the competition teams. We may have to move girls around on different levels in order to accomplish this.
Intro to Cheer for Kindergartners: This info is tentative and subject to change!
The girls will cheer for the Dynamite Level
Practices will be as follows: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:00 to 7:00 from July 22nd - August 2nd After first game there will be no practice on Wednesday.
After school starts – Thursday: 6:00 - 7:00
Cheer Practice: This info tentative and subject to change. Official Practice schedule will be out June 1st
5 days a week (Monday - Friday) from July 22 - August 2.
After August 5 - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Practice times are from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Girls that do not compete will have a shortened practice schedule.
All girls are encouraged, but not required to participate at Dynamite, SLW, LW Levels
There is not a separate competition squad. Any cheerleader wanting to compete will also be at all of the above cheer practices and cheer for football games during the entire season.
We compete in 2-3 IRCA Competitions each year - Dates to be determined.
Competition dates can fall anywhere from early-October to late-November and ending with the State Championships in early December. Cheerleaders must be available for all compeitions.
Girls will only be allowed to miss 2 competition practices in order for them to compete
There are additional fees for Competition Cheer
Games start first week of August and run every weekend through early November
There are 8 regular season games and up to 4 additional playoff games, dependent upon each football team's playoff advancement
Games are played on either Saturday or Sunday
We cheer at all home and away games, in good and bad weather
(4) Home games are held at Lincoln Way West
Intro Level (Instructional Cheer) Kindergarten:
$125.00 Registration Fee.
All remaining levels (SLW, LW, JV, & Varsity) 1st - 8th Grade:
Before February 11th $225.00 Registration Fee for 1st child, $200.00 for 2nd child, and $175.00 for 3rd child.
After February 11th prices go up by $50.00.
* Cheer Unifoms are received but turned in at the end of the sesaon. All other reguired cheer items to be purchased at Cheer fittings in May include: Warm ups, bows, body suit, briefs, competion shoes and competition fees (if participating)
- FUNDRAISING: $110.00
*This is a prepaid fundraiser. You get 22 tickets to sell at $5.00 each. When you sell them you keep the money!
Participation/Equipment Checks: $300.00
The last 2 checks we ask for are for parent participation and equipment return. These checks will be written for $150.00 each and post dated October 31, 2019. The check for Parent Participation will be returned if you complete 3 credits of volunteer work. Intro parents only have to do 2 credits. The Equipment Return check will be given back when all player equipment is returned.
